Lateral Threshold Hops

Find a crack in the floor, draw a line or lie down something like a jump rope so you have a marking to hop over. Hop laterally from one side of the line to the other. These can be done with two legs together or one foot. When doing the one foot version, you will remain on that one foot the whole time for the given number of reps. Then you will switch feet and do the same number of reps all on the other foot.

Lateral threshold hops are part of Kyra Williams’ Personal Fitness Program and workout routines as they are a great way to strengthen your legs, glutes and calves as well as increase your heart rate so they are a great way to get in cardio.
