Resistance Band Pull Aparts

Hold a resistance band in each of your hands, closed fists and palms facing down. Begin with some tension on the band, and your hands straight out in front of your shoulders, then open up your arms so they are your full wing span, then bring them back together so they are directly in front of your shoulders.

Resistance band pull aparts are part of Kyra Williams’ online personal fitness program and workout routines as they strengthen your shoulders and upper back. They are great for warming up your shoulders for benching or overhead pressing, they can also build your rear delts and are great as accessory work on bench day. If you notice your upper traps starting to burn, stop and rest before finishing the set.
