Sliding Lateral Lunges

Sliding Lateral Lunges

For sliding lateral lunges your will need a surface where you can slide one foot. You may do them on tile or hardwood with a towel for example.

Put your right foot on the towel and your weight in the left. Allow your right foot to slide out laterally, keeping that leg straight. Push your butt back so you can keep your chest upright, and bend the left knee. When you feel like you cannot go any wider without putting any weight in the right leg, squeeze your inner thighs toward each other and come back to stand. Do all reps on one side before moving to the other.

Sliding lateral lunges¬†are part of Kyra Williams’ Personal Fitness Program and workout routines as they increase your leg and butt strength, increase your ankle, knee and hip stability and balance.
