Step Up and Curl

Stand in front of a chair, step or bench and step up with one leg and upon making it to the top, perform a bicep curl with one, or both arms, depending upon how the exercise is written. Normally if it is one arm, it will be the opposite side of which you using to step up. Release the bicep curl, coming to neutral, then step back down. These may be done all on one side before performing with the other side, or alternating.

Step up to bicep curls are a great compound movement so you are working several muscle groups in one exercise and should be included in your workout routine. They are part of Kyra Williams’ Fitness online workout plan because you are able to work both your leg and butt muscles along with biceps so you can get more in a short period of time.
