Ever since I became a trainer and worked with clients online, people have asked me to write them a meal plan to lose weight. People want to know what to eat and when to help them lose fat, plain and simple.

So over the years I’ve worked with clients 1:1 to create plans to help them eat in a way that supports their goals, to build lean muscle, to help them feel great and help them lose fat.  I’ve learned a lot over my own personal experiences and experiments as well as helping others.  I know what works and what doesn’t.

I have personally tried calorie reduction, carb front loading, carb cycling, IIFYM, flexible dieting, intermittent fasting, Paleo and just plain old clean eating. I have helped clients with all of these and I have friends who have done Atkins, South Beach, Whole 30, Carb Backloading and Keto. You name it, I’ve tried it on myself, on someone else or have first hand knowledge what goes on.

But at the end of the day, the only one thing that is going to work for you is the one that is the most convenient. You may like the idea of Whole 30, but what if you go to brunch with your friends and your food is cooked in oil or you need something post workout and you aren’t supposed to have a protein shake? Or what if you are counting your macros and you just ate something but you have no idea how much and you can’t add it to your tracking app?

We live in a busy world and we are busy, successful women and we need to be able to grab quick snacks to bring with us places or be able to eat out and not feel bad about it. But we also need to eat in alignment with our goals.

So I wanted to create something that would make your life so much easier. I wanted to appease all of the people who have been asking me for a daily list of what to eat and when. I wanted to create a program that the everyday woman could follow and get results. So I created the 30 Day Detox, and here are my top 6 reasons you should join:

1. You want to lose weight. I hear ya sista! I have been there and it’s so frustrating. When I first embarked on my journey I had no clue what I was doing so I only ate 1000 calories of food and hoped for the best. I would have given anything for an inexpensive plan like this to tell me what I should eat to lose weight.

The meal plan in the 30 day detox is filled will whole, unprocessed foods your body is going to put to use to build muscle and allow you to lose fat. When was the last time you heard someone say they got fat from eating too many apples with almond butter or steak with sauteed spinach? This meal plan will allow you to eat foods that are really yummy so you don’t feel deprived and give up, but also keep you aligned with your fat loss goal.

2. You know you should “eat clean,” but you just want to know what to eat and when. You have a job, you have a family, you have a dog, you have a million things to do. You just want to be told what to buy at the store, what to cook and what to eat – you don’t want to think about it.

I totally get this too. I am a personal trainer and I write workouts all the time. But, now that I am training for a powerlifting meet I don’t want to write my programming so I hired someone else to do it for me. The meal plan tells you exactly what to eat and when. Each week there’s a list of what to buy at the store.  There are amazingly EASY grab and go snacks as well as simple clean eating recipes. There is even a workout plan that comes with it as well so you have a plan for what to do each day for a workout.

3. You are always tired. I hear this from so many of my clients and it is usually caused by undereating.  It’s been this thought for so long that to lose weight we have to eat less and move more. In some regards that is right but it’s more complicated than that.

I get so many assessments from my clients when they join tell me they burn 2400 calories a day including their activity but they count up what they eat and it ends up being 1200 and they are afraid to eat more because they don’t want to gain, but they don’t understand why they can’t lose and are frustrated. It’s so awful and I hate hearing it over and over again.

You have to eat food and not be in a major deficit or else your body will store fat to keep itself alive. Seriously, if you want to slow down your metabolism, then undereat. You definitely can’t build muscle lie that either, and building muscle is one of the best ways to lose fat! I digress..

When a client tells me she’s in a constant state of fatigue one of the first things I ask for is a calorie count because calories are energy, and if you are tired all the time then you need more calories – and quality ones that a nutritious and will make you feel great!

4. You binge on the weekends.  Oh man.. I know this one all too well.

When I was going back and reading old blogs from four years ago I would talk about how I ate clean all week, like chicken and oatmeal with egg whites and a protein shake and then on Friday I would go out and drink a few beers, Saturday workout, drink more beers, eat wings and pizza and then Sunday I would go to a pool party and eat 3 plates of dessert and wake up Monday morning bloated and sad and would go do extra cardio to “make up” for the damage.

Seriously – that was me. And how could you expect otherwise? I basically lived my weekdays eating boring, plain food that I didn’t really like then on weekends I would go nuts because I restricted so much all week. Then I would have a food hangover, my digestive system would get totally out of whack, and I would feel so awful about myself because of it.

When I created the 30 Day Detox I wanted to get people eating really delicious food 365. Foods like steak, bacon in your veggies, bananas and apples with almond butter, Paleo pancakes with real life maple syrup… If you could eat like this every single day out of the year, you wouldn’t feel the need to binge would you?

5. You need the accountability. We all do!  It’s pretty easy for me because I live and breathe fitness – I do it personally and professionally so I have more people than I really want talking to me about nutrition and fitness!  But you have jobs outside of fitness and family’s and friends with other interests so you need other like-minded people to talk to.

This helps because it doesn’t just hold you accountable, but it also gives you a group of people to bounce ideas off of, ask for extra help with something, commiserate with…

The 30 Day Detox also includes an active, private Facebook group for others doing the program and is coached by me so you have people to check in with and motivate you!

6. Your exercise isn’t exactly, regular.  This is kinda the same with being told what to eat, but instead for working out. Like I said, someone else tells me what to do for workouts – why not you? You have a totally different job outside fitness – this isn’t your area of expertise, but it is mine.

The 30 Day Detox includes daily workouts designed to help you get into a regular routine, burn fat through high intensity interval cardio and build muscle through strength training workouts.

Each day includes one workout that should only take 20 – 30 minutes max. These are workouts you can do from home with dumbbells, a stability ball and a jump rope and as a bonus two of those days also include yoga flows to help you de-stress and stretch your body so you feel great.  The idea is movement daily to build a habit of working out regularly.

So there you have it – these are my top 6 reasons to join the 30 Day Detox.
