My client Lisa decided to take her fitness to the next level. She buckled down and found a way to get from good to great. No magic pills or powders.. no gimmicks.. just a little help and hard work. Here is her story..

 

My journey with Kyra Williams Fitness began when I was looking for more intense workout plans that would not be really repetitive. I wanted to workout at home with some equipment as well. I have a toddler and she does not like going to my local gym’s daycare, so I first started with the basic membership. I wanted to get in even better shape then I was in.

I meditate when I workout at home, so upon starting, I became calmer and happier. I was not able to do round 3 when I started, but slowly I was able to get all three rounds in. It was a fun and intense workout that challenged me.

Then I signed up for the 1:1 online training coaching, #Commit2Fit. My husband bought it for me as an early Christmas gift. I was having issues with cleaning my diet up even more then I already had on my own and learning which foods were ok to eat. The eating disorders and all sorts of crazy diets out there make it hard to distinguish, even if it seems common sense, what is good for you and what is not. I have even have had a trainer tell me that apples were bad for you and never to eat them… he also said nothing about the redbull I had in my other hand. I loved it. I got to eat clean eating recipes that were tailored to me that I liked. I am a very picky eater. It was perfect

I didn’t have to wonder what to eat, I was able to workout at home (even with my daughter), I could take my workouts with me anywhere I could access my calendar, I became so much better then I have ever been. Having someone who knew what they were talking about that was able to tailor an exercise & diet plan for me. It was a great lifestyle change.

 

But I did have to make time to workout at home. The time that fits me most is night. I’m not a morning person. I kept working as hard as my body would let me to get further.

 

I would recommend training with Kyra to anyone and have to several people. Kyra is a very knowledgeable trainer who knows what she is talking about. When I had an issue with a workout she was able to tell me what to do instead or how to correct what I was doing even online. It is also nice to be able to bounce the many ideas I get, things I see, etc off her to get another view from someone who isn’t trying to shove their crap down my throat and blind me to the truth.

My advice is to just start on it and try for 3 months, you never know how far you will get. The feeling of being fit and able to do things with your child is so much better then always being tired and saying no mommy is too tired to play. It will ache and you will be really tired but in the end you will feel like a different person.

Get a TV or computer in your workout area and multi-task if you really can’t pull yourself away. If you love books get an app for it like Audible or listen to Pandora. I never thought I would loose all the weight I did, and I really believed that I was trapped in the body that genetics had predetermined for me. I’m very glad I tried.
