Back in 2008, I was already counting calories, working out, and doing what I thought was “right” to stay fit. But my body didn’t reflect the effort I was putting in. I was constantly craving sugar, waking up tired, and feeling like my progress was stuck. Then I read The Eat-Clean Diet by Tosca Reno, and it changed everything for me. I started eating meals built around protein, fiber-rich carbs, and healthy fats — and almost immediately, my energy leveled out, my cravings disappeared, and I dropped 20 pounds I didn’t even realize I had to lose.

That experience became the foundation for how I’ve coached women ever since I became a personal trainer and nutrition expert in 2010. What I discovered was that it wasn’t about eating less or pushing harder — it was about balancing blood sugar, reducing insulin spikes, and finally giving my body what it actually needed. Once that clicked, everything changed. My body leaned out. My workouts felt better. And for the first time, I wasn’t constantly thinking about food or fighting against my cravings.
