My journey with Kyra first began several years ago during a time I had been following a daily workout plan regularly and was, physically, in a good place. I found Kyra online as The Get In Shape Girl after searching for online trainers. I thought Kyra was a good fit and chose the #Commit2Fit program. Three times.

Round one, my personal fitness goals were in general to build more muscle, run faster/longer. Round two I don’t think I had any clear goals and quit after one or two workouts. Round three, Kyra helped me set solid, achievable personal fitness goals for both the short term and long term. My goals were to just complete a workout, do a pushup on my toes, set a consistent bedtime/wakeup time so I can get my workout routines on a schedule. Also, I wanted to build muscle, improve my strength, endurance and health. But most of all, in the beginning, my main motivator was to improve the way my legs look. I have cellulite even though I am lean and I hate my legs and they have caused me to be extremely self conscious for years.

The first round of #Commit2Fit, I was on a warpath. Everything else around me was being pushed aside in order to attain this unrealistic goal I had carved out for myself. This vision in my mind of the perfect body which drove me blindly and left everything else in my life neglected. I weighed every ounce of food that went into my mouth. I counted every macro. This was not at to Kyra’s direction, it was due to my own obsession. It was unbalanced and unsustainable for my lifestyle. I finally got injured, my husband returned home from deployment and normal life resumed. I was burned out and quit.

Round two, I was only partially motivated and so gave up quickly when obstacles arose.

Round three, however, has been life changing. By taking full advantage of all the resources Kyra offers through the #Commit2Fit program, I began to realize that fitness and eating well is a journey, not a sprint. And the motivating force behind it has to be something deeper than just a desire to look better on the outside. This transformation must involve changes on the inside. Changes in our thinking and our viewpoint. Outer beauty was a powerful motivator in the beginning for me, but it’s the inner changes that keep me going.

I noticed changes in my legs after just one month. I cried. I was so happy because I actually felt hope. There are even more improvements after almost 3 months. I still have a lot of improvement to go, but I no longer feel hopeless. And I’m confident that with continued work with Kyra I will soon be wearing that bikini. I’ve also noticed that because of the mental and emotional changes I have experienced after working with Kyra, my legs don’t even bother me that much any more. I know that I am doing all I possibly can to improve them and that’s the best I can do.

I believe part of my depression before was because I knew deep inside I had the power to make a change in my appearance and I just was not doing it. This caused me to have this running mental dialogue telling myself I was just too lazy, and I was so ugly, and how could my husband want this? But within two weeks of eating well and doing daily workout routines I felt like a different person. It was like a fog had lifted from around my brain and I could think clearly for the first time since I could remember.

The mental clarity is amazing. It felt good to breathe deep and feel my muscles working. Now that inner voice tells me Great Job! You Did It! The inside slowly began to connect with the outside and I’m finally on my journey of fitness and balance.

I enjoy the daily workout plan videos as they are essential to being able to plan workouts without being too time consuming. I also appreciate the accountability every week as it forces me to look at how I’ve been doing and then the monthly pics show improvements.

The private Facebook group is really great as well. I appreciate being able to see other real people going through real every day problems just like me and seeing how they deal with them. Also seeing that they all have body issues just like me, even when they look awesome, is a great comfort and helps me to be happier with myself. I love the recipes that are shared and tips on how to make positive changes in other areas beside physical fitness. And encouragement by the group to keep going is wonderful.

I’m 47 years old and I have an 8 year old son with Autism that I homeschool. I work part-time and am a military wife so my husband is deployed about half of every year. I have an 88 year old mother next door who lives on a farm with several rental houses I care for. I was in a car accident 10 years ago and everything on one side was crushed. Car accidents can have life-altering consequences, leaving both physical and emotional scars that take years to heal. Something in my body hurts all the time. I have chronic migraines that are always taking me down. I take a ton of meds.

I would recommend #Commit2Fit because I believe its more than just a physical personal fitness program. It’s a program to commit to change your total lifestyle. The benefits I have received really have changed my life. Before I started this program, I was staying up late every night eating popcorn and candy. I was so tired and depressed I could barely drag myself out of bed. On the days I didn’t work, I would sit at my kitchen bar with my head down half the day, barely able to move. I started going to a therapist to try to figure out a way to improve things. Now, I have energy, no longer feel depressed, look forward to each day, and no longer need the therapist. Plus my body is developing muscles, I look better and I feel strong. Anyone that wants to improve their life and body should join #Commit2Fit.

No matter what area of life it is, we all do what we really WANT to do. So search inside yourself and figure out why you really want to change and use that as the motivating force to just get started. Its OK if its physical, mental, whatever the reason, just start. As you continue your journey, your motivator may change. And that’s OK too. No roadmap has completely straight lines. All that matters is you begin the journey and you stay on the path.

Thank you so much Kyra for all the help you’ve given me! Your program is truly great and covers all aspects of making positive changes in all areas of life. It covers all the areas that are stumbling blocks a lot of the time and cause many to give up. Thank you for using your experience to help so many others.
