Now that Covid-19 has us thinking about our health and mortality, I want to take a deeper dive into some serious considerations of how we treat ourselves.

I do not want to diminish the seriousness of this virus, but I want us to think about what we can do ti give ourselves a fighting chance against it, amongst other very serious illness as well.

Food addiction is real, but the food industry continues to put sugar, fat and salt in our food to keep us hooked, and we consume it, which leads to obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and death.

The pesticides sprayed on our crops, the hormones pumped into inhumanely treated livestock, chemicals added to our food by the food industry causes heart disease, diabetes, cancer and death.

Modern day conveniences of delivery services, the internet, cars, etc do not demand much of our physical bodies which can result in fat accumulation, obesity, cancer and death.

I’m not saying that Corona isn’t serious or should not be taken seriously.

The concept of wearing masks, gloves, standing 6+ feet away from each other, etc are only band aids as we await a vaccine.

I figure it’s time to suggest the habits, educate folks and help people implement strategies so we can make our bodies stronger so we have a fighting chance!

Why not talk about gut health and how 70% of the immune system lies in the gut? Why not talk about how maybe we should stop eating fried garbage food, processed junk and sugar, but rather eat leafy greens and free range chicken?

Why not talk about how our entire body is supported by deep sleep and how we need to get off our phones and go to bed for 8 hours of sleep every night, rather than being unable to sleep due to worry about a virus and the economy?

Why not talk about how daily exercise builds a strong cardiovascular system and how we need to GO OUTSIDE and to the gym so we can walk and run and lift and push and pull heavy things rather than sitting inside watching garbage on TV?

Why not talk about how much negativity we consume from the outside world truly impacts our physical and mental well being?

If you feel it’s too complicated I implore you stick around to listen and take away even small tidbits. I want to help give you MORE take aways than just simply stay home/ wear a mask but allowing the abuse of food, alcohol, drugs, tobacco and ultimately your body and health.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be doing everything I can to help you become stronger, healthier and better educated so you can go out and LIVE. To be more fearless. To THRIVE.
