Your results are fixed, they’re outside of your control. If you’re constantly focused on your results, you have less energy to expend on what’s in your control, which is your effort.

If your mind is constantly focused on losing weight, your mind loses sight of what is immediately in front of you.. the day to day process stuff.

Focus on showing up everyday, living your life as if you’re already the person you want to be. Do things like prep your menu, prepare your micro nutrient dense food, go for mind clearing walks, get in your workouts, drink your water, BUILD YOUR HABITS.

This is the stuff you CAN control.

The more you obsess over results the more likely you are to throw yourself in a tizzy and give up. I mean, if you are constantly thinking “well I don’t weigh 30 pounds less today, like I’ve been wanting to,” do you think you are going to make good decisions every day or do you think you are gonna get frustrated and go off plan? This takes away so much of your mental energy.

On the other hand, when you master habits and your efforts, the results will come and better yet, they will last a lifetime. You are more focused on making healthy eating choices, getting to the gym each day, lifting heavier weights, and ultimately the results will come.

Rather than constantly weighing yourself, taking measurements, comparing photos, track little things like how many days you workout each month, how many times you eat at home rather than eat out each week, how much ounces of water you drink each day, how much weight you use for chest presses vs where you started.

I have all of my clients create processed based goals and performance based goals like these that coincide with their long term goals so we can have fun tackling little things and crossing things off along the way.

This is how I coach. This is the focus I want for my clients in #Commit2Fit. If you want to learn more about my 12 week 1:1 coaching program go to commit2fitcoaching.com.

The best way to get results and maintain them is by creating awareness and habits that allow you to focus on living in alignment with the person you want to be, then ultimately becoming that person. It’s about identity. Who do you want to identify as?

Let’s do this together. Go to commit2fitcoaching.com to join.

Kyra
