Power styles of yoga are amazing for building strength endurance.

Spending an hour doing loads of planks, inversions, back extensions, bridges, knees to elbows, etc build crazy amounts of core and shoulder strength endurance that will assist you in carrying things, standing for long periods, bracing for a long set of back squats…

But yoga doesn’t build muscle. Not in the hypertrophy way. If you want to build MUSCLE your fibers need to be stimulated in ways only resistance training can provide.

If you want to have strength endurance, power styles of yoga are great.
