Let’s talk about protein!
Protein are molecules that make up cells in our bodies. Protein helps cells maintain their shape and helps them function properly. So we are made of protein and need to consume protein.
But, in terms of fat loss/ building muscle, when we consume protein , the pancreas secretes a hormone called glucagon, which decreases insulin secretion which helps balance blood sugar and makes fat storage less likely.
Protein takes longer to break down and digest which creates a thermogenic effect which means it requires more energy. Energy out > energy in = fat loss.
And because it takes longer to digest, you will feel full and satiated longer.
