Ahi Tuna Tacos
Clean eating, gluten free, grain free, vegetarian.
These ahi tuna tacos are simple clean to make but full of flavor. They are one of Kyra Williams’ favorite clean eating recipes.
Ingredients for the tacos:
1 pound ahi tuna
8 radishes, thinly sliced
2 avocados, chopped
12 small corn tortillas
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2-3T Sriracha or other hot sauce
1 ounce ground black pepper
1 ounce sesame seeds
Ingredients for the onions:
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1T sugar
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
Directions for the pickled onion:
Slice onion and place in jar.
Whisk together the rest of the ingredients in a bowl until the sugar and salt dissolve then pour over onion.
Let sit at room temperature for an hour before serving.
Directions for the tacos:
Heat skillet on stove on high. While that is heating coat both sides of ahi tuna steaks in black pepper sesame seed mixture. Once skillet or pan is smoking, place tuna steaks on to sear each side, about one minute each side.
Remove from heat immediately and cut against the grain of the steak.
Mix the mayonnaise and hot sauce. Add all ingredients evenly amongst the 12 flour tortillas.
