I had been weight training for over a year and was in between workout plans, lacking motivation and looking for something new and exciting to do. Then along came the Lean Body Workout Program in my Facebook feed. I saw the sample workout routine, and what caught my eye was that it was heavy lifting, and not a ton of cardio. Totally up my alley!
I really enjoyed the workouts. Sometimes the rest periods seemed longer than necessary…. I usually felt recovered after about 1:30, with some exceptions. I liked how the workouts changed every 2 weeks. Getting bored was NOT possible. I also really loved that I only had to go to the gym about 3 days per week as I have enough equipment at home to get in good chest, shoulders and arm workouts.
I did see my strength increase in some areas. I can see more definition in my arms, and someone pointed out my abs the other day, so that was pretty cool. My legs are also super solid. I don’t think I’ll ever be the girl with the super slim legs, but they are powerhouses! 🙂
If you you’re interested in weight training (and I highly recommend it!) the Lean Body Workout Program is a great program! I would say that 12 weeks may sound like a lot, but it goes so fast because the workout routines change so frequently. The descriptions of the exercises are usually pretty good.
I was able to stick with the workout schedule (for the most part) and finished just a couple days over 12 weeks. I will definitely come back and redo this program again!
This was a lot of fun, and I’m happy with the progress I made!
