#Commit2Fit online personal training gave Erica the guidance and accountability she needed to get into a lasting groove of doing her daily workouts. This lead to decreased anxiety and I am proud to have Erica as a client. Here is her story..
Right around Christmas 2019, I got an email for a discounted rate for the #Commit2Fit program and decided to give it a try. I knew this program was more exclusive. I know I do best when I have guidance and accountability.
My overall goal was just to get back into regular daily workouts. I wanted to lose weight of course, but I really needed something that was going to make me actually start using all the equipment that was collecting dust in my basement.

The first month was rough. I gave it my all and my first weigh in was rough, but it really gave me a reality check. What was I doing right and what was I doing wrong? I decided on the spot that I had to stop trying to change EVERYTHING. I focused on ensuring I was getting my workouts in. My diet was not horrible to begin with so I really focused on committing my focus on the daily workouts. This really changed things for me and the evidence was shown in the second round of pictures.
The support in the group has been crucial for me. Though I may not have always participated, I always tried and the ladies are altruistic humans who really just want everyone to do the best with what they’ve got. It is non-shaming, and wonderful place to share successes.
I am more okay with not getting onto the scale nowadays. Though I am not 100% scale free, I am no longer weighing every day and I am okay with it. My mental health had its ups and downs. As my anxiety was becoming more in control with the regular workouts, I realized I was on the wrong medication and sought out a psychiatrist who would re-evaluate and assess where I was at. I was prescribed medication mainly due to my anxiety but that has not been a problem since maintaining the workouts. I still have poor body image but that is a hurdle I am still overcoming and that will come with it. Being on the proper medication for my ADHD has significantly helped with my impulsivity which has helped with my confidence.
The accountability with Check ins and Facebook group are so helpful. Honestly, I would not have achieved any of my success without both. Good, bad or ugly I learned that it is truly essential to do both. The rest of it is up to me to show up and do my part.

I really enjoy the strength training workouts. I like that they can be done at home (which is where I workout), they are always changing (it is never the same workout) and you can adjust your schedule around the workout routines since they are on average about 20 minutes long.
I would advise someone to seek accountability. Whether it is with a trainer, a group of people, a friend, etc. This is the first time I can say that for three months, I have done every workout that I physically could even during times when I infamously would stop.
