I believe shoes are foot coffins.. where our feet go to die. Lol.
But for real, shoes gather our toes all together not allowing them to do their job, which is to help us balance.
Shoes shove our toes all together, they don’t let us use the muscles of our feet to “grip the floor” which results in a lack of balance, stability and atrophy of those muscles.
Not only that but so many shoes are so padded and shaped strange and we lose all connection to the ground we are meant to have.
This can cause pain in our feet as well as dysfunction, which can lead to dysfunction of other muscles.
It’s not uncommon to find that ankle, knee and even hip pain can be alleviated by re-training the muscles of our feet to do their jobs.
Try taking off your shoes to workout and use your toes to “grip the ground” to help you balance and stabilize.
