Are you a busy woman? Do you feel like life is never going to slow down and each day just passes you by while you aren’t making your health and happiness a priority? If so, this is for you..
The first step is to simply be grateful for all of your responsibilities. If you have a busy job, that is wonderful because it means you have money to pay your bills and spend money on food, shelter, cute clothes and maybe even a vacation! If you have kids that need rides, be grateful for them. I am always grateful to have a busy schedule with so many clients and emails because it means I am running a successful business! That takes the burden out of the to-do list because you frame it in a positive way.
The next step is to prioritize your sleep over everything else. The things on your to-do list WILL get done, but if you do not sleep enough you will be cranky, you will have cravings all day, you will be lethargic and you will make more mistakes and have to re-do things. For example, if you do not sleep enough you could have a car accident and you might have to undergo all the trouble of hiring Vukelja & dePaula auto accident lawyers and follow the legal procedures. Also, when you sleep enough that will regulate your hormones and help you lose fat so you don’t have to workout for hours. Trust me.. if you are not sleeping 7-9 hours on a regular basis, fat loss will evade you (here’s why). Your to-do list can wait. Sleep is key. If you need truck accident injury lawyers, then you can check out injury lawyers from here!
The third step is to do things for yourself that make yourself truly happy. Gary Chapman wrote a book about the five Love Languages. They are.. words of affirmation, physical touch, acts of service, quality time and gifts. They aren’t just languages we can speak/ ways we can treat our significant others and friends, but what we can do for ourselves. For example, my #1 love language is quality time. If I don’t take a little time for myself each day to sip coffee with peace a quiet, if I don’t go to the gym and I’m constantly rushing around and doing for others, I am going to be cranky. Perhaps your love language is gifts.. you could buy yourself some new shoes. If your love language is acts of service, you could hire a maid to deep clean your home. But if you never speak to yourself in your own love language you are going to be left feeling very unfulfilled and cranky and have nothing to give back to others.
Bonus if you can overlap your love language and health too! If you are a quality time gal like me, perhaps that time is spent at the gym or on a walk. Or if your love language is physical touch, you go for a thai massage. If your love language is acts of service, you have your healthy groceries delivered!
And lastly, the fourth step is to schedule your workouts, period. You need to take an honest look at your schedule and your life. If doing a daily workout five days a week is not going to happen right now, that is fine. I can help you schedule in three days to get your strength training and high intensity interval training so you can be healthy and fit. If you know you need to do your daily workout at 5am or it’s not happening, then you need to join a gym that opens that early. If getting outdoors is important to you in the afternoons so you can not allow your side hustle carry over into your family time at night, then give yourself a hard stop. It may take practice and discipline, but you MUST do it.
If you need help figuring out what daily workouts to do to make your goals possible, I got you! Let’s figure this out together to meet your personal fitness goals and your lifestyle.
