With summer around the corner, I know many of us are going to be traveling. If you want to continue to pursue your fat loss goals, I have tips for you! Here are 13 tips for fat loss while traveling.

1.  Don’t do extra cardio leading in. Just do your normal workouts.

2.  Don’t diet beforehand either. Just eat clean. Restriction usually leads to a rebound.

3.  Start everyday with protein. This helps balance blood sugar and minimize cravings the rest of the day.

4.  When you eat meals do your best to prioritize protein and vegetables. Carbs tend to be the easiest things to come by so by putting extra effort toward meats and vegetables will help you get more.

5.  Don’t snack, eat or drink things just because they are there. Listen to your body and ask if you’re truly hungry. If so, eat. If not, and it’s not something you love, skip it.

6.  If there’s something you really want to eat, even if it’s not healthy, have it, but be present so you can savor it. If you begin eating mindlessly, stop.

7.  HYDRATE.

8.  It’s not worth feeling like garbage over gross airport food. Make your own snacks.

9.  Go out and enjoy where you’re at. Go for long walks or even a jog or bike ride. The gym will be there when you get home. Go see the sights.

10. Walk after a big meal- it aids digestion.

11. On your way home create your grocery list and before you even unpack – go to the store and get your meal prep done so you are ready to get back on track.

12. Schedule your next workout.

13. When you get home wear some forgiving clothes and don’t weigh yourself.
