Rather than trying strict meal and workout plans or fads like a low carb diet again, Emily signed up to work with me through online personal training. I showed her the best way to lose weight was through a daily workout plan and clean eating recipes. Here is her story…
I found Kyra Williams Fitness online personal fitness and training sometime in August one day when I was at school browsing facebook. I happened to come across her page and decided to like it so that I could follow her posts. At first I was very skeptical about signing up for a virtual trainer, and all I could think was I would sign up and then quit a month or so later because I got bored. After reading several testimonials from her clients, as well as, her blog I decided that I would go ahead and give it a shot. I thought to myself “why not? I can just workout from home instead of pay my gym membership.”
Around the beginning of September I was at school, fed up with everything that day, and decided to do something good for myself, so I signed up for training! Immediately I filled out my information, my eating habits, etc and got a meal plan and exercises for the month! Weighing in at 182.6 I decided that it was time to change!
Before I came across Kyra Williams Fitness, I had tried many fad diets that I had seen on the internet and I had even went as far as paying for Weight Watchers, but every time I gave up, whatever weight I had lost during that time I would gain back plus more! I always came out heavier than when I started. I was starting to become aggravated with all of the diets, and was actually starting to accept that I was fat and would be for the rest of my life because I couldn’t stick to a diet to save my life! I would hear many rude comments from my family that I was fat, and unfortunately began to accept that and think that of myself.
Before I met Kyra I had no guidance as to what to eat or what exercising I should do. I never ate vegetables with any of my meals, or any fruit for that matter! When I started training I knew that it wasn’t going to be easy at all, that I would have to work at it to see results! I picked up the book The Eat Clean Diet Recharged, sat down and read it, and immediately could relate to everything that it was telling me!
After reading the book and having guidance from Kyra, I was able to go to a grocery store and actually pick up healthy food. I learned to batch cook my meals on the weekends so that I had no excuse to eat bad foods during the day and I learned to start eating six small meals a day! I am not perfect with my eating, and to this day I am still learning how to eat healthy, but with each new day eating healthy becomes a habit for me!
Just in as little as two weeks my stomach was showing a drastic difference and my energy levels were sky high. I would go to bed at night and wake up with out feeling tired, and I noticed that my confidence began to increase with each passing day.
When I began training with Kyra Williams Fitness I had no clue what to expect! Since I decided to work out from home, I had to pick up a stability ball and some dumbbells so I could begin training immediately! My workout schedule included six days a week with one day of the week being a rest day. You get scheduled three days of cardio and three days of strength training mixed with cardio. I love how great I feel after every workout I do, I feel strong and confident after each one, as well as, a little sore, but I know that my muscles are breaking down and building back up.
After just a month of doing about four days a week of workouts I started to notice a major difference in my progress pictures! I started training and eating healthy in the beginning of September and since then, four months later, I have lost eight pounds and a total of about fifteen inches off of my whole entire body! When I started in September I fit into a size 14 petite jeans and a size large in shirts. Now at the end of the four months I can fit into a size 10 petite jeans and a medium shirt! Those results not only shocked me but it shocked everyone around me! If you look at my three-month progress pictures you will definitely notice the changes!
I haven’t given up with my training or eating healthy, and will be doing all of this until I reach my goal of at least 130 pounds! My goal going into training was to lose 50 pounds before I get married on September 15, 2012! So far I have met 8 pounds of that goal, and continue to shed weight with each passing month. Kyra has brought me so far and has held me accountable the whole time. She sends me a check-in email each week to see how I am doing and gives me feedback to push me to do better! If it wasn’t for Kyra I have no clue where I would be right now with my weight or eating habits! Kyra has helped me get back on the right track to a better lifestyle and with that being said I only have good things to say about her!
