Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix together and form into two patties about a half inch thick. Add another pinch of salt and peppers onto each side of the patties.
Heat a cast iron (or other) pan with avocado oil over medium high heat.
Make a slight dent in the center of each patty with your thumb—this keeps them from puffing up.
Place a cast-iron or non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook for about 5 - 6 minutes each side, flipping once. Ensure internal temp is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Let the burgers rest for 3–5 minutes before serving to keep the juices inside.
