Basic Egg Bake
Prep this basic egg bake and have a simple and nutritious breakfast ready for you every morning.
Ingredients
- 3.5 oz uncooked bacon
- 24 oz white button mushrooms chopped
- 2 cups liquid egg whites
- 6 eggs
- 3 large bell peppers chopped
- 2 green onions chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Place bacon strips in a 9×13 baking dish and bake bacon for about 15 minutes. It should be cooked, but not super crispy. Allow grease to remain in dish.
- Chop your vegetables into small pieces. Chop bacon as well.
- Beat your 6 eggs, adding in your egg whites, then stir in vegetables, bacon and add salt and pepper to taste. Pour into grease coated baking dish.
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes until eggs have set.
- I would recommend pairing this with a protein shake on the go and some fruit to increase the protein and carbs.
