Turkey Burger
Never eat another dry turkey burger again. This recipe will change how you feel about turkey burgers!
Ingredients
- 16 oz 98/2 ground turkey breast
- 1 egg
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 T plain full fat Greek yogurt
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- .5 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 T dried parsley
- .5 tsp salt plus more to taste
- .5 tsp black pepper plus more to taste
- Avocado oil for cooking
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix together and form into two patties about a half inch thick. Add another pinch of salt and peppers onto each side of the patties.
- Heat a cast iron (or other) pan with avocado oil over medium high heat.
- Make a slight dent in the center of each patty with your thumb—this keeps them from puffing up.
- Place a cast-iron or non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook for about 5 – 6 minutes each side, flipping once. Ensure internal temp is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the burgers rest for 3–5 minutes before serving to keep the juices inside.
